Comexi Group has inaugurated its presence in the K Fair with a clear purpose: to consolidate itself as the leading company in global solutions for the flexible packaging industry, focusing on quality, innovation and sustainability. During a week, the firm will culminate all the efforts made so far in an 816m² stand where Comexi will be showing all its latest product developments in printing, laminating, slitting and peripheral equipment.
Comexi Group stand in Düsseldorf is characterized by a design and functionality based on the commitment with the environment. At this current edition, the company has installed a printing unit of the new Comexi Flexo F2 Water Based to show all attendees the latest progresses on water based printing. Furthermore, Comexi Group stand has a technological space with 12 touch screens installed to show its solutions’ portfolio, the meeting area and an impressive stage that includes a big screen to see the all daily shows.
Throughout one week, the Catalan company will present several technologies applied to its latest novelties: printing, with or without solvents laminating, cleaning with distillation with no dry residues or the Cingular Laser system –developed for micro and macro perforation and for easy open works-. These are some technologies that Comexi Group incorporates to its new equipment such as Flexo F2 Water Based, Nexus SL 2 y Nexus ML 1 or to the Enviroxi Solvent Treament Box.
Global solutions demonstrations
All attendees who visit Comexi Group’s stand will discover all product line innovations thanks to the three daily shows that had been prepared for the occasion. After a spectacular start with the ‘Coloro’ show, theoretical presentations with streaming demos will be included right from Comexi Group headquarters. Flexo F2 MC, Flexo F2 WB or Comexi Offset CI8 are some of the machines that will play a leading role on a stage that, since the very first day of the K Fair opening, has been fully filled with professionals of the sector.

On October 7th Comexi Group inaugurated its Open House, which will finish on October 25th. The Director-General of Industry of the Catalan Autonomous Government, Antoni M. Grau, accompanied Comexi Group Chairman Manel Xifra at the opening event that took place at the Demo Centre facilities of the Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre.
About 30 people attended the opening event and could see printing, laminating, slitting and peripherals live demonstrations and they also participated in several technical seminars.
The Open House will coincide with the K Fair in Düsseldorf, in which Comexi Group will participate with an stand of more than 800m².
SP Group acquires the Comexi Nexus OPTIMA 2H (n138/2013)
• It is the first purchase of second generation Optima laminating machines on the Spanish market.
Girona, 14 October 2013.- Comexi Group, a leading specialist in providing total solutions to the flexible packaging conversion industry, has reached an agreement with SP Group for the purchase of a Comexi Nexus OPTIMA 2H machine that will be installed at its plant in Córdoba (Spain). This acquisition means the first sale of this laminating model in Spain. The purchase agreement also includes the acquisition of a Comexi Proslit E-Turret slitting machine.
Comexi Nexus OPTIMA 2H
The Comexi Nexus OPTIMA 2H has been designed to provide the best two-layer lamination with solvent or water-based adhesives for high performances that require high application speeds in order to achieve a very low solvent retention. Compared to its predecessor, the new Nexus OPTIMA 2H allows a higher productivity, better energy efficiency, and greater machine ergonomics, which means an enormous qualitative leap.
This progress provides the best drying performances for the flexible packaging market and also the optimum productivity for all kinds of laminates. Besides several technological developments should be noted, those enable very fast work changeovers, so that the Comexi Nexus OPTIMA 2H becomes a much more productive for long and short runs.
Comexi Proslit E-TURRET
The new E-TURRET is the next generation of PROSLIT’s turret slitter of Comexi Group. It is a high performance machine with a great work capacity, small dimensions and easy in use and maintenance. To its already spectacular slitting and laminating features, Comexi has also incorporated to the machine a new ergonomic study which allows handling and controlling its different slitting areas without the need of stopping it and without any danger.

Girona, 25th September 2013.- Comexi Group, a leading specialist in providing total solutions to the flexible packaging conversion industry, has reached an agreement with the company American Packaging for the purchase of a Comexi ACOM RG Platinum machine that will be installed at its rotogravure printing and laminating plant in Wisconsin. With the acquisition of the Comexi ACOM RG Platinum, the North American firm starts a new stage on its expansion process, in constant evolution for seven years.

The Comexi ACOM RG Platinum is the most advanced technological solution in the field of rotogravure for flexible packaging, ensuring excellent results: it delivers the best printout qualities at high speeds (up to 650 m/1’), reduces the waste resulting from production processes and offers maximum productive efficiency.
In addition, the possibilities of personalizing that offer the RG Platinum printing systems allows providing tailored solutions and optimizing the machine’s configuration as well as the materials trajectories. All this improves the performance and the efficiency of the most complex applications obtaining excellent results on in-line processes such as Cold Seal, lacquering or lamination with or without solvents.
