Slitting area
The slitting area allows the use of razor blade or circular knives, keeping both in position and avoiding the use of spacers between bottom knives, thus radically reducing the time needed for complete change of slit width. Using a motorized roll, we create an overspeed in the slitting area with respect to the rest of the machine. Likewise, a new support frame for the suction nozzles allows placement of the remnant extractor air intakes even when the reel is in position. An additional nip roll avoids both movement of the web during stoppages and turning of the turret.
